JOIN OUR SPECIAL RECEPTION 

What was Patrick Brooke, of Summer Wine Online, doing on the big night before the Party officially got underway? Serving glasses of cool wine to the cast, crew and friends of course. 

The informal reception gave Patrick a chance to chat to the cast about the Summer Wine website and the messages of support and praise from our fans abroad. Patrick was also liaising with the media including BBC Look North, BBC Radio Leeds, Yorkshire Post, Holme Valley Express and Huddersfield Examiner, all requesting interviews with their favourite stars. 

The Yorkshire Post was also keen to track down our USA visitor, Elizabeth Nichols, who had travelled over specially, and had already completed live interviews on the radio and TV.  Elizabeth joined the reception for a special photo-call with actor Stephen Lewis (Smiler) which appeared in the following day's Yorkshire Post. 

However, there was nearly trouble to pay when Nora Batty (Kathy Staff) arrived demanding lemonade...and NOT wine. What do you think this is? Not wanting to get on the wrong side of Nora, Patrick had to hurry to the bar downstairs, and managed to get a cool glass to Nora before the fireworks started! 

Now,  mingle with the stars for an informal drink before the party gets underway...
