SUMMER
WINE DVD
A DVD box set of LOSW was due to be released in the American DVD Region 1 format (NTSC) in December; this has now been postponed until 2nd April 2003 (release date is still subject to change). It will contain the following selected episodes from series 1 and 2, plus 2 films: Spring Fever The New Mobile Trio Hail Smiling Morn or Thereabouts Forked Lightening Who's That Dancing With Nora Batty Then? The Changing Face of Rural Blamire Last of the Summer Wine (feature length film) Getting Sam Home (feature length film - I know that everyone over here wants this film, but it's not available to purchase in the U.K.!) Starring Michael Bates, Bill Owen and Peter Sallis, the running time is 6 hours, it will be released in a 4 disc box set, full-screen, and will retail at $59.98 (all details are still to be confirmed).
