It’s official! Last of the Summer Wine returns for a brand new series on 27/05/07 The last few weeks are ticking away as Last of the Summer Wine breaks onto our tv screens again in an even more dynamic format. Filmed last year with the new Viper camera the new series will be richer and more glorious than ever before. The new technique of high definition brings the West Yorkshire countryside to life in vivid colour more than ever before. Alan J.W Bell as always been at the forefront of new technology and from the start of his era of the programme as brought in using film rather than video to enhance the programmes and the last series was filmed on HD. The technical development has made a great breakthrough to how the programme is made and the impact it has had on the screen over the past few years.
The 10 programmes are some of the funniest that the show has had in a long time with such themes as ghosts, alien visitors, dancing and witchcraft amongst its themes this year will certainly have its audience spellbound. Keep watching your tv guides for the start of a very special year of very funny programmes. There’s more to come as the summer sees the cast and crew back for more escapes in the Yorkshire Pennines. Long may it continue.
