The best Summer Wine website just got better
You have made a group of fans in SW London very happy. Our informal gatherings at the Evergreen Club always end up talking about the latest series of Summer Wine. We come to the website for facts and figures about the series - and your lovely pictures of Yorkshire. How we'd love to live there. 

Your sound recordings were really marvellous. I could not get the club computer to play them, but we all popped round to a friend's house which could play the recordings marvellously. It was great to hear Compo's voice - it sounded so fresh. We look forward to further updates.

I was a little cynical when I first read about your audio downloads on the Summer Wine website.  It was great to read the story about how you got them but I wondered about the point of listening to Compo and Cleggy when we could hear and WATCH them any day we liked on our video recorder. I soon changed my tune when I downloaded Real Audio (Windows Media Player would not touch them) and listened to the interviews. It was pure magic.  I was fascinated by both recordings, particularly Bills. It was like another side of him, we had never heard before. And he sounded so nice and genuine, I really regret never having the chance of meeting him. Many, many thanks for bringing us so much pleasure.  I don't know how you manage to do all this, particularly without a fee to pay, but I never take you for granted!  Keep up the amazing work - and I look forward to more interviews. Like your other correspondent said, I would pay a King's Ransom to hear Foggy's voice.

I never even realised before we could listen to real sound from the website. My PC does not have enough memory and has a very slow web connection. But I called round at my friends (Can I give him a mention? He will be very pleased - Richard Bell) and I heard them on his system.  I was amazed. They are fantastic quality recordings. Clegg has a superb accent, just like on the famous animation.   I was quite sad to hear Compo talking - but it was a lovely interview. The upshot of all this? I am getting a new computer for my birthday! I have told my wife it is due to an "essential upgrade". Thanks everyone at the website.

I had just listened to the two interviews that you have on this wonderful website. And I wanted to tell all of you that it is a great feature on the already great website because it gives you a kind of real insight into how the actors felt about the characters that they played and how they have imprinted on the public. I have only been going to this site everyday for a few months after searching for the perfect LOTSW web site, and I have fallen in love with it and this has only made it even better. It would be nice to hear other interviews from the other cast members like, Kathy Staff, or Robert Fyfe or others like that and I know that they would probably get some exposure on this site audio wise.
