Taking flowers to his wife's grave, Clegg (Peter Sallis) stops to chat with the vicar. Blamire (Michael Bates) and Compo (Bill Owen) meet up with him to reminisce about life, death and "tiddlers." Also seen for the first time is Nora Batty (Kathy Staff.) Plus first appearance of Sid (John Comer) and Ivy (Jane Freeman) in the Cafe.

Wally is fed up with Nora's constant nagging so Compo, Clegg and Foggy devise a plan to get him out of the house for a few hours.

The Waist Land
Foggy finds there's money to be made selling food to the desperate inhabitants of a local health farm.

Cheering Up Ludovic
Ludovic has bought a new van and to cheer him up Clegg is given the job of test driving it.

The Three Astaires
Foggy enlists Compo and Clegg to help out at the church concert.

Trying to camouflage himself, Foggy upsets a group of cyclists. Compo also upsets someone - over the state of his trousers.

Summer Wine: 1983

Getting Sam Home, produced by Alan Bell.

A 90-minute film based on Roy Clarke's original Last Of The Summer Wine novel. After Sam's inconsiderate demise at the home of Lily-Bless-Her, our trio are faced with the task of explaining to his wife about his wet feet and fluffy suit. The final appearance of Sid from the cafe.

Summer Wine: 1984
One special, six episodes, produced by Alan Bell

Special-The Loxley Lozenge
Wesley has discovered an old racing car. Compo, Clegg and Foggy offer to help him transport it back to his shed, not reckoning on its condition.

The Mysterious Feet of Nora Batty
Foggy says Nora has big feet, thus upsetting Compo, so they set out to find out whether it is true or not.

Keeping Britain Tidy
First appearance at the cafe of Ivy's nephew Milburn, alias Crusher, (Jonathan Linsley). A discarded mattress sets Foggy on a campaign to clean up the countryside.

Enter The Phantom
Compo turns into daredevil motorcycle rider "The Phantom" to prove to Nora that he is brave.

Catching Digby's Donkey
Our trio set about the near impossible task of catching a stubborn donkey. Featuring the first appearances of Howard (Robert Fyfe), Pearl (Juliette Kaplan) and Marina (Jean Fergusson).

The Woollen Mills of Your Mind
Compo enters the local marathon in order to impress Nora.

Who's Looking After The Cafe Then?
Ivy has to leave the cafe for the afternoon. Can she leave it in the capable hands of Foggy Dewhirst? After this adventure, Foggy left to run an egg painting business in Bridlington and was missing from the series until 1990.

Special – UNCLE OF THE BRIDE
The arrival of Seymour Utterthwaite, not to mention Edie. It’s Barry and Glenda’s
wedding – with Seymour in charge of Barry’s stag night.

  WHY DOES NORMAN CLEGG BUY LADIES ELASTIC STOCKINGS?
Clegg has to deliver a note to Marina in the supermarket. What has Seymour invented
that needs all this security.

THE HEAVILY REINFORCED BOTTOM.
Compo takes to the water like a fish …… literally.

  DRIED DATES AND COD FANGLERS.
What has Compo thrown into Seymour’s pond that is of such importance?

  THE REALLY MASCULINE PURSE.
Compo has been chosen to road-test a new style of purse for gentlemen – and real money
is provided.

  WHO’S FEELING EJECTED THEN?
Will Seymour’s car safety device really make him rich and famous? His guinea pig may not agree.

THE ICE-CREAM MAN COMETH.
Remember when you could buy ice-cream from a man on a tricycle?

SET THE PEOPLE FREE.
The trio devise a plan to spring Howard and Wally for a few hours of freedom.

GO WITH THE FLOW.
It’s rather difficult to sell tickets for the church Beatrix Potter evening – until Compo comes up
with an idea which gets him scurrying.

  JAWS
Seymour insists that Edie must be up to date with his latest design in waste disposal units.

EDIE AND THE AUTOMOBILE.
Edie is learning to drive……Look out!!!!!!

  WIND POWER.
How can Seymour harness the power of the wind for the benefit of mankind?. Compo is the
test-pilot again.

WHEN YOU TAKE A GOOD BITE YORKSHIRE TASTES TERRIBLE.
Bill Henry, an old friend, dies in America. Clegg takes Compo and Seymour on a sentimental journey.

Special – MERRY CHRISTMAS FATHER CHRISTMAS.
Seymour plans to put some magic back into Christmas and Santa back where he belongs – on the roof, not on a bicycle.

The annual garden fete at Dream Acres with Nora as the VIP waitress. Why is the tramp interested in one particular donkey?

  THE EXPERIMENT
Compo wonders why all the blood rushes to his head when he’s turned upside down. Seymour sets out to prove why.

THE TREASURE OF THE DEEP.
Is the piece of ‘silver’ found in the canal part of a thief’s haul and is there more where that came from?

DANCING FEET
Compo has hard skin on his feet but can a “witch” really cure it?

THAT CERTAIN SMILE.
Is it possible to bring a smile to the face of Clem Hemingway in his hospital bed?

DOWNHILL RACER.
Seymour tries to prove that skiing is not just for the rich.

Going to a funeral today but you really shouldn’t take a ferret with you.

Barry has a secret – he wants to buy Glenda a water-bed for Christmas and our trio help a “little old lady” with her security problem.

Seymour offers his help to Jack Harry who needs to get his caravan into his driveway.

THE KISS AND MAVIS POSKITT.
Clegg could be the answer to a lonely widow’s prayer but just who is kissing who?

OH SHUT UP AND EAT YOUR CHOC-ICE.
How do you get a bale of hay up a hill after you’ve been the cause of it rolling down?

WHO’S THAT BLOKE WITH NORA BATTY THEN?
Compo is concerned when he sees Nora going out mysteriously and then sees her in the pub with a man.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY GOUGH AND JESSIE.
Compo, Clegg and Seymour are determined that Gough’s anniversary will not pass without some celebration without his wife Jessie.

GETTING BARRY HIGHER IN THE WORLD.
Seymour, with the help of Wesley make a giant kite and get Barry to help fly it.

THREE MEN AND A MANGLE.
What can go wrong when you offer to move an old mangle for Nora Batty?

  Special – WHAT’S SANTA BROUGHT FOR NORA THEN?

Compo is desperate to buy a Christmas present for Nora, so a visit to Auntie Wainwrights may provide the answer.

  SUMMER WINE : 1990

RETURN OF THE WARRIOR.
Seymour leaves to look after a school. Will life be boring for Compo and Clegg? Not for long as Foggy Dewhurst returns to the fold.

COME IN SUNRAY MAJOR
Foggy has an idea to use portable radios to improve our trio’s communication problems.

THE CHARITY BALLS.
Foggy gets Compo and Clegg to enter the “sponsored dribble” to raise money for charity.

WALKING STIFF CAN MAKE YOU FAMOUS.
Foggy is upset because he’s not famous for anything – so he invents the sport of bicycle polo.

THAT’S NOT CAPTAIN ZERO.
Compo, Clegg and Foggy help Captain Zero when his van breaks down but they didn’t plan on him getting drunk – so they need a stand in – guess who?

DAS (WELLY) BOOT.
Compo is determined to get Nora onto Foggy’s restored boat – but how to do it?

THE EMPIRE THAT FOGGY NEARLY BUILT.
After a heated argument between two motorists, Foggy decides that there must be money to be made in providing parking spaces.

THE LAST SURVIVING MAURICE CHEVALIER IMPRESSION.
To stop Nora taking him for granted Compo gets a spot on television doing an impression.

ROLL ON.
In order to prove that they are still fit for their age, our trio enter the local barrel rolling contest.

A LANDLADY FOR SMILER.
Compo is more than a little concerned when Smiler moves in as Nora Batty’s lodger.

Special – BARRY’S CHRISTMAS.
Is Barry taking the spirit of Christmas too far when he’s found under the table at the local pub, and who’s bought himself a bleeper?

 
SUMMER WINE : 1991.

QUICK QUICK SLOW.
Compo is depressed because of Nora’s lodger (Smiler), so to cheer him up Foggy has the answer – dancing.

GIVE US A LIFT.
Foggy’s idea is the ultimate in chairlifts to get people to the top of hills without any effort.

WAS THAT NORA BATTY SINGING?
Compo is depressed again when he hears Nora singing, and when he sees her out with Smiler he starts to believe all sorts of things.

  CASHFLOW PROBLEMS.
In order to get some money, Compo goes in search of an old schoolfriend who owes him “a couple of quid”.

PASSING THE EARRING.
Howard needs Cleggs help to get an earring belonging to Marina out of the house without Pearl seeing – no chance.

POLE STAR.
Foggy gets Compo pole vaulting so that he can reach Nora’s clothes line “gracefully and nimbly”.

Special – SITUATIONS VACANT.
Foggy is determined that the only way he can get Compo into a new pair of trousers is to get him a job with a uniform.

  SUMMER WINE : 1992.

BY THE MAGNIFICENT THIGHS OF ERNIE BURNISTON.
Is Ernies Burniston’s fitness a bluff – to prove it he uses Compo as his guinea pig.

  ERROL FLYNN USED TO HAVE A PAIR LIKE THAT.
After overhearing a conversation between Nora and her neighbour, Compo discovers that Nora has a weakness for men in riding gear.

THE PHANTOM OF THE GRAVEYARD.
Compo, Clegg and Foggy go to pay their respects to an old teacher, but why does Howard want to join them.

THE SELF-PROPELLED SALAD STRAINER.
Wesley buys a strange motorised vehicle from Auntie Wainwrights. How can this help Compo deliver a bunch of flowers to Nora?

ORDEAL BY TROUSERS.
Are Foggy’s war stories true? Compo and Clegg decide to submit him to an old school ritual designed to tell the truth.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HOWARD.
Marina leaves a giant panda with Clegg for Howard’s birthday – but how to get it to him without Pearl knowing.

WHO’S GOT RHYTHM?
Compo is broke again, so in order to earn some money he gets a one man band from Auntie Wainwrights.

CAMERA SHY.
When Foggy buys a video camera from Auntie Wainwrights it seems no one is safe from his prying eye – especially Howard and Marina.

WHEELIES.
Foggy invents a new vehicle made out of a giant wheel – guess who has to test drive it.

Special – STOP THAT CASTLE.
Foggy is in charge of the local gala, but an inflatable castle and Foggy’s lance don’t mix.

How To Clear Your Pipes
Foggy gets Compo and Clegg to improve their physical fitness by taking part in an assault course.

Where There's Smoke, There's Barbecue
After purchasing a barbecue from Auntie Wainwright, the trio find the gas valve is just a little too powerful.

The Black Widow
Too much home brew at a funeral tea leaves Compo and Foggy having to rescue Clegg from the arms of an amorous widow.

Have You Got A Light Mate?
Smiler is selling security lights. Howard is determined to buy Marina a china shepherdess-if he can persuade Clegg to visit Auntie Wainwright's.

Stop That Bath
The trio find they are involved in yet another of Howard's schemes to get a present to Marina-this time a cast iron bath!

Springing Smiler
Smiler rashly offers £50 to anyone who will help him escape from Nora Batty's-an offer too good for Foggy to ignore.

Concerto For Solo Bicycle
Foggy comes up with the crazy idea of bicycle safety underwear after he collides with Compo riding his old bike.

There Are Gypsies At The Bottom Of Our Garden
"Dewhirst's Nature Tours" are launched by Foggy after he believes he's discovered the nesting place of a giant woodpecker.

Aladdin Gets On Your Wick
After seeing a man on a sailboard, Foggy has the idea of inventing a three-man version.

Special-Welcome To Earth
Compo, Clegg and Foggy encounter a stranger from the Heckmondwike Extraterrestrial Club who foresees aliens landing in Yorkshire.

When the trio meet entertainer Billy Ingleton, Foggy finds himself becoming a concert promoter.

The trio meet Mr Broadbent, a man looking for the wilderness, but they don't reckon on having to look after his wife.
