The Very First Location
Report - June 2005 - Now with photos!
By Mike Fernley
Location Report - Sunday 12th June
I was able to venture out for the first time this year on Sunday for a
very enjoyable day. Leaving home at 6am I headed over to Normanton to
pick up Clive Eardley (President of SWAS) and then it was back through
Holmfirth and over to Marsden for the days filming. The day was
extremely dull, overcast and cold.
When we arrived at 08:40 filming was already under way with some very
amusing scenes with Howard and Marina. The scenes took about an hour to
film and after this Robert and Jean had completed their scenes for the
day.
Next was was off into the hills above Marsden for some country lane
scenes initially involving Alvin and Billy with Truly and Entwistle
arriving soon after in the pickup. This was then followed by a further scene
filmed back at base.
After lunch we filmed scenes by the river in Marsden which involved
Clegg, Truly, Alvin, Billy and Entwistle. The temperature seemed to drop
in the afternoon and although wearing shirt, jumper and coat I was
still cold! There was a really heavy down pour in the afternoon but
fortunately plenty of shelter near by.
It was nice to catch up with old friends and although I can't reveal
anything of the plots I can reveal that Brian has recently completed
filming on two sequels to 'The Booze Cruise'.
And the first photos, added 24-6-05 - Many thanks Mike!
